Motor Technology Traineeship offers an exciting pathway to a career in the motor industry. In this 10-month programme, you will experience learning in an education and training setting and the workplace, gaining valuable experience in real industry environments, making you more skilled and employable and enhancing your employment opportunities.

Motor Technology Traineeship
QQI Level 5 Major Award
This 10-month traineeship will provide you with job-specific skills including diagnostic, maintenance and installation procedures on electronic and mechanical components used in the motor technology industry. Training will take place at our College of FET Hospital Campus. 14 weeks on-the-job training is offered as part of this programme
Applicants must have a QQI Major Level 4 Award/Leaving Cert applied equivalent or higher, however, applicants who can provide documented industry experience may also be considered.
Progression / Employment Opportunities
On successful completion, you will receive a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Motor Technology. You will be equipped with skills to gain employment in a number of roles in the local motor industry. This programme is also an ideal pathway to a QQI Level 6 Apprenticeship in Motor Mechanics.
