The venue for this year’s ceremony is the Ryan Suite, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Ennis Road, Limerick, V94 YA2R

Booking will close on Friday, 20th October at 12noon.

There is no cost for this event.

Please present yourself at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa at least 90 minutes before your ceremony is due to commence. Upon arrival at the hotel, please proceed immediately to the Check-In & Robing Area marquee where your attendance will be noted and you will be issued with a seat number. Graduates must present their tickets for registration. Robing will close 40 minutes before the ceremony begins. You then assemble in the Ryan Suite for the conferring ceremony.

Graduands receive certificates in a definite and fixed order using the seat number issued at registration. This number will ensure that the graduand receives the correct certificate. During the ceremony graduands will be called onto the stage and presented with their certificates.

Guests (maximum of 2) are asked to take their seats in the Ryan Suite 40 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

As a courtesy to all graduates and guests, please ensure to allow sufficient time to attend the rollcall, as the start of the ceremony unfortunately cannot be delayed for latecomers. Due to the large number of people involved in the ceremony, it is important that you and your guests arrive on time.

The ceremony will last for between 60 and 90 minutes. Once the conferring has concluded, post-ceremony light refreshments will be served for graduates and their guests.

It is necessary to restrict the number of guests to two per graduand in order to comply with Health and Safety regulations. Once you have registered, your campus will send you three physical tickets via post (one for you and two for your guests). As it is not possible to exceed the seating capacity, requests for extra tickets unfortunately cannot be considered.

Admission is strictly by ticket only. Seating for guests is on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests must present their ticket for admission to staff at the entrance to the Ryan Suite.

Free parking is available on the hotel grounds. Parked cars are not the responsibility/property of Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board or the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa. Please allow adequate time to securely park ahead of the commencement of the conferring ceremony. The ETB/hotel accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any vehicle or contents however caused while parked in the aforementioned area.

College of FET’s designated official photographers will be available on the day of your conferring and will be based in the Dromineer Suite near the hotel lobby, which will be clearly signposted. Only these official photographers are permitted to use the facilities.

To ensure your official graduation photograph(s), we would strongly advise that you go straight to the photo area directly after receiving your robe i.e. before your conferring ceremony. The earlier you do so will avoid queues and a rush before the ceremony.

The photographers will allow a very limited time (1 hour) after the conferring for graduates who missed the pre-ceremony photocall.

Cost Per Graduate:

  • €30 for 1 10” x 8” enlargement
  • €40 for 2 10” x 8”
  • €50 for 3 10” x 8”

(CASH ONLY, payable on the day)

Example 1: 1 photo of the graduate €30

Example 2: 1 photo of the graduate, 2nd photo of the graduate with their parents €40

Example 3: 1 photo of the graduate, 2nd photo of the graduate i.e. 2 10” x 8” photos of the graduate €40

Example 4: 2 photos of the graduate and 1 photo of the graduate with their family €50

Payment for photographs will be taken at the same time as the photoshoot. Photograph(s) will be posted within 2- 3 weeks to the address provided by you. This service is not connected with the ETB. Any queries should be addressed directly to the photography service.

It is College of FET policy that each graduand must wear the gown and coloured sash during the formal ceremony. These are provided at no cost to you. Celtic Graduations is our official supplier of gowns and will be stationed in the Check-In & Robing Marquee on the day of your conferring ceremony to facilitate the collection and return of gowns.

We are delighted to make special arrangements to accommodate any graduand or guest with special needs. Please notify us in advance if you or your guests require assistance by contacting us by email: graduation@lcetb.ie.

If you are unable to attend your conferring ceremony, you will be conferred In Absentia. Where relevant, your parchment will be posted to your respective College of FET campus registered home address shortly after the ceremony.

Unfortunately, conferring cannot be deferred.
