The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) requires all new buildings from 2021 to be nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEB). This directive requires all construction professionals to adhere to the NZEB standard and to undergo upskilling to meet the requirements of the sustainable building agenda.

Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board is offering a number of training programmes designed to empower you with knowledge of the principles and practices required to meet the NZEB standard.

Green Skills MicroCreds

This 10-week online programme equips you with the skills to identify, prioritise and implement environmentally sustainable improvements in your workplace. By developing your knowledge on key sustainability issues, you can help your company implement lasting changes that increase competitiveness and profitability whilst reducing costs. This programme requires approximately 25 hours contact time with a tutor and time to complete projects and assignments.
